Being a war is all about knowing your limits. If you try to being a IMS, IAS, hex removal, condition removal, snare, and then damage... you're not going to kill anyone. The best a good warrior can do is focus on a specific strategy, and if you find opponents who that strategy won't work against... find a new opponent. You wont be able to kill everyone so don't try. Look for those who you can kill, and beat on them relentlessly.

For example...

On my hammer war I go W/Mo and bring

[Devastating Hammer][crushing blow][Heavy Blow][Bull's Strike][Frenzy][Enraging Charge][Lion's Comfort][Mending Touch]

My main chain is Devastating hammer -> Smash -> Heavy Blow

thats usually enough to drop people to about 20%, and with Frenzy i'll get extra hits in there to finish them off. However, it's important to chain the knockdowns correctly so you don't use heavy blow while they're already knocked down. You want to chain it perfectly so they get two consecutive 2 second knock downs in a row.

In addition to that, you also want to make good use of lion's comfort to charge adrenaline fast, and use enraging charge carefully. You want to spam it for good adrenaline building, but at the same time you may need it to cancel frenzy. You just have to make good decisions.

You also need to take advantage of unique situations. If it hit someone with bull's strike, i need to remember to use pulverizing smash for an instant deep wound even with no adrenaline. If DH is charged, I can hit them witha 2nd KD, and then HB them for a 3rd! So in the right situation I can put someone on the ground for 6 seconds... they don't stand a chance.

It's all about knowing your skills and knowing when to use them. Play lots of RA, and if your build isn't working it's probably because you aren't using it right.

Back then, you should be getting 3-second KD's, not 2-second KD's.

Use a Stonefist insignia.

Heavy Blow doesn't work as well as Hammer Bash. Condition removal says "Hi".

Your bar has too much utility. You don't need Lion's Comfort, and using Pulverizing is kind of redundant, as you already apply Weakness with Dev Hammer.

12+1+1 Strength
12+1 Hammer

Enraging Charge
Flail
Bull's Strike
Devastating Hammer
Crushing Blow
Mighty Blow
Hammer Bash
Rez

The above build is more solid than the one you posted. IAS that doesn't make me take more damage (Hammer Warrs don't get shield Armor), DW, an extra attack with bonus damage, and a Rez, not to mention that Bash is an unconditional KD, unlike Heavy.

Yea, I meant to say crushing blow. I don't know why I wrote pulverizing smash since I don't even own EOTN....

I do use stonefist, but I thought standard KD was 1 second, then +1 second from stonefist?

also I should mention I don't run this build in HA or GvG, this is mainly my AB/RA/JQ FA build. In RA i would use res signet in place of lion's comfort. I disagree about flail though. If the monk (or whoever your target is, but usually monks) gets a RoF or puts up a stance, then you're walking around like an idiot while they casually jog away. I know you can time bull's strike when they get up from last KD, but in my opinion it's not a versatile.

I like heavy blow mainly because of the +dmg, which is basically mighty blow + hammer bash in one skill, with a little less dmg and conditional of course, but I haven't had any problems with target removing condition.

I'll give your build a try though and see if I like it.

I just know I wouldn't run Frenzy if the only other stance on my bar had a 20s recharge...

I think my post covered this better...

Also lion's comfort disables your res signet. Frenzy is almost as slow as flail, so really, you're going to get left behind by kiters unless you have rush. Above build should have rush or protector's strike over mighty blow.
